Accumulate Personal Wealth
Using a crest to accumulate personal wealth means converting collective authority into private gain.
Under Ayaawx, crests do not exist to enrich individuals. They exist to bind responsibility to land, people, and future generations.
A violation occurs when a crest is used to:
- Extract money, benefits, or privileges for personal use.
- Redirect collective resources toward individual accumulation.
- Secure salaries, contracts, positions, or influence primarily for oneself.
- Trade authority for financial advantage with outside interests.
Crest authority is not property. It cannot be sold, leveraged, or monetized.
Lawful authority requires:
- Collective benefit over individual gain.
- Transparency in use of resources.
- Accountability to House, clan, and witnesses.
- Restraint in material accumulation.
When personal wealth is accumulated through a crest:
- The authority of the House is weakened.
- Trust between people and leadership erodes.
- The crest’s meaning is diminished.
- Lawful legitimacy is placed at risk.
Ayaawx principle: Those who carry authority must not profit from it.
Such misuse erodes legitimacy and invites correction through law, including public accounting, restriction of authority, restitution, and restoration.
