The Spiritual Order

The spiritual order refers to the relational structure that governs unseen forces, responsibilities, and consequences within Tsm’syen law. It is not separate from law, land, or daily conduct, but operates alongside and within all relationships that sustain balance.

The spiritual order is understood through responsibility rather than belief. It is recognized by its effects on people, names, lands, waters, animals, and communities. When relationships are properly maintained, balance is affirmed; when responsibilities are ignored or violated, consequences arise that signal imbalance.

Unseen beings are acknowledged as participants within the spiritual order. Their presence and influence are not abstract or symbolic, but relational. Conduct toward lands, waters, animals, names, and people is understood to have effects beyond what is immediately visible. These effects are learned through witnessing, Adaawk, instruction, and lived experience.

The spiritual order does not grant authority to individuals. Instead, it places limits on conduct and power by reinforcing responsibility, restraint, and accountability. No person stands above the spiritual order, and no authority is valid if exercised in disregard of it.

Ayaawk reflects the spiritual order by responding to imbalance through correction and restoration rather than domination or coercion. When balance is restored, relationships within the spiritual order are reaffirmed, and law is fulfilled.

The spiritual order remains active through continued observance, respect, and responsibility. It is not codified as doctrine, but carried through practice, memory, and the accumulated witnessing of consequences across generations.
