Fixity Is Not a Goal Category: Tsm’syen Law Page status: Working

Principle

Fixity is not a goal.

Meaning

The purpose of the Codex is not to freeze law into immobility. Ayaawx lives through relationship, memory, and practice, and understanding may deepen over time.

Function

Recognizing that fixity is not the aim allows the record to remain responsive, accurate, and relevant. It prevents the mistaken belief that writing alone creates permanence or authority.

Limits

Absence of fixity does not permit instability or casual change. Continuity, precedent, and lawful responsibility remain essential.

Implications

A living system may grow clearer without losing its roots. Strength comes from faithful transmission, not rigid immobility.
