Any person, house, or entity exercising use or access to land or waters is accountable for harm caused through their actions or omissions.<br />
<br />
Harm includes, but is not limited to:<br />
<br />
* Physical damage to land or waters<br />
* Degradation of ecosystems or habitats<br />
* Contamination or pollution<br />
* Interference with lawful harvesting or cultural practices<br />
* Disrespect or violation of Ayaawx obligations<br />
<br />
Where harm occurs:<br />
<br />
* Lawful use and access may be immediately questioned, limited, suspended, or revoked<br />
* Accountability must be addressed through Ayaawx-based processes<br />
* Restoration, repair, or other remedy is required<br />
* Continued access is not presumed and must be re-established<br />
<br />
Failure to acknowledge or remedy harm constitutes an ongoing violation and may result in the loss of authority to use or access the territory.<br />
